Please use the following guidelines when writing an introduction. 1. Include the post title in your introduction. 2. Write about what you know about the post (who wrote it, why it is important) and how to interpret the text of this particular chapter of Anna's journal/blog/etc. 3. Be sure to reference the post in your introduction if you are summarizing it. 4. Be sure to include the post title in your introduction when quoting from it. 5. Don't use an introduction that is longer than one line. 6. Limit the number of comments you have per post to two or three maximum--if you have more than that, please consider making a new post instead of commenting on Anna's post (unless, of course, there are other people who feel like commenting on the same thread!). 7. Avoid posting until the very last minute! There are usually at least two or three other people who are also planning on commenting, so try to refrain--you don't want to be the bottleneck on an important chapter! 8. Don't use an introduction that is longer than one paragraph. If you want people to read your comments, it needs to be short and snappy. If you follow these guidelines, welcome back to the forum! Please remember--the goal of this forum is primarily to encourage new readers of Anna's books, not for us all to feel like we're beating each other with our fists over who "deserves" her attention most. 1. It's not too late to comment! I can always use more "narrators." 2. The "reader" challenge is no longer an official challenge, but I'd love to hear from anyone who wants to be a narrator and would like a little help getting started. There's no need to sign up, but please try and start commenting as soon as you'd like (one line, please!); if you want more lines, feel free to contact me and we'll work out the logistics. 3. The thread for this chapter is now moved here: http://www.goodreads. com/topic/show/9855599-jwe-model-engineer-scans-disc-1-of-2 4. You can now download the PDF of the scans here: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11716789-the-journal-of-anna... I updated the title to reflect all the work Anna and her team did and I updated the "analysis" section to include an email from Anna that Gretchen found explaining why there were no images for this chapter (I didn't read it at first--please forgive me, Anna!). eccc085e13
